Exploring Indigenous America

Over Spring Break, students traveled to the Southwest to study historic and contemporary perceptions of Native Americans. Students traveled across three states—New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona—visiting Chaco Canyon, Ute Mountain Tribal Park, Mesa Verde, Canyon de Chelly, Walpi, the Hopi reservation, the Awot'ovi Ruins, Wupatki, and the Zuni reservation. Students were invited to give a presentation on their findings at the college during Academic Development Day.
